Volunteer Information

Game Volunteers - coordinated by Room Reps

PTA owns numerous Carnival games and the other attractions are rented inflatables.
The games and attractions are each assigned to a teacher.
Each Room Rep is the primary coordinator of recruiting volunteers for setup, carnival shifts, and teardown for their teacher's game.
It is the responsibility of each Room Rep to:

set up the game on Friday, April 20 (or recruit others to do so);
coordinate the setup up with the classroom teacher (for classroom games) or Coach Oliver (for gym games),
decorate a desk with butcher paper and a sign for the name of the game (pre-made signs available for some games or make a new sign with paint.die cut letters/etc.);
get a basket from the PTA closet to place on the desk for taking game tickets (if customer does not have an armband);
place a note inside the desk with the room number of where the desk came from so it can be returned at the end of the night;
place the laminated sheets on the game desk to explain how many tickets are needed and the game instructions (these sheets will be in the PTA storage closet with the games);
set up your game (if it is a PTA-owned game) - games located in outside storage closet behind the the gym doors;
recruit volunteers from your classroom to work the game (one-hour shifts).

If you have a game in the gym then you need to bring a pop-up canopy to place over the game. This is used for hanging signs and decorations.
These games need to have a roll of tickets (from the PTA storage closet) that volunteers will give to the kids after they are done playing the game. These are the tickets that they will use to shop for prizes.
