Congratulations to our March Volunteer of the Month, Leni Salas!
Leni has been volunteering at Glen Oaks since her daughter started kindergarten in 2018. She and her husband, Dan, have two children, Sophia, a 7th grader at Dowell, and Ryan, a 4th grader in Mrs. Reynolds' class at Glen Oaks. Originally from Dallas, Leni and her family moved to McKinney just before Ryan's arrival!
A former teacher and educator, Leni enjoys the school atmosphere and likes to help out and contribute wherever she can. Among other things, she has served as a room representative, PTA board member, school dance chair, community service chair, spirit wear organizer, copy room and variety show volunteer.
Her family loves how they have been able to form so many friendships and connections through the years with other families, classmates, teachers, and staff through the Glen Oaks community- it truly is a special, warm, and caring place! It is great when everyone feels a sense of belonging and is welcome to contribute in whatever way they can. Leni currently works as an attorney in litigation technology and can be found on the weekends spending time with family and cheering on her kids' activities in baseball and ballet!
