PTA Spotlight: Ariellen Boyle, Parliamentarian
Ariellen Boyle didn’t join the PTA for the glory. She just wanted the calendar early enough to plan her work schedule. What started as a practical move quickly became something more - a way to connect, contribute, and help Glen Oaks thrive.
As Parliamentarian, Ariellen ensures the PTA follows its bylaws. Not to be a stickler, but to protect the board, the members, and the mission. She brings her experience as a full-time nurse and full-time law student to every meeting, every vote, and every moment of service. Yes, she’s doing both. Yes, she’s amazing.
She is married to Brian. They tied the knot at Graceland (yes, that Graceland) and together they’re raising Chloe, a third-grader at Glen Oaks. They also support their adult sons, Sean and Dylan. Dylan lives with them part-time and is on the autism spectrum. Ariellen volunteers at Dylan’s school for adults with special needs and stays closely connected to her extended family in Plano and Garland.
Her favorite PTA moment was watching Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving with families at a general meeting. It was a reminder that community can be built through popcorn, cartoons, and shared space.
Ariellen shows us that structure creates space for belonging, and every PTA needs someone who knows how to meet quorum and make it meaningful.
