why we fundraise:

We hold PTA fundraisers each school year. The money contributed during the fundraisers allows the PTA to provide the following programs:

budget setting:

The budget for each committee is determined by that Committee Chairperson.  Each budget is presented at a PTA Board Meeting in September and voted on by the PTA Board.  Once all of the budgets are approved by the PTA Board then they are presented to the general membership at an evening PTA meeting.

excess funds:

Money set aside in Excess Funds has no defined purpose.  If the PTA and school wish to use this money, it requires two passing votes: one at a PTA board meeting and one at a PTA general membership meeting.
